About Camel's Hump State Park
Colonel Joseph Battell's 1,000-acre gift, summit included, grew into a roughly 20,000-acre forest reserve around Camel's Hump, mapped as Camel's Rump in 1798. Climb the Monroe Trail from Duxbury or the Burrows Trail from Huntington, or take the accessible 0.8-mile loop.
