Burn Ban Aug. 24, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No wood or charcoal fires allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking only.
Park Closures The park will be closed on the following dates: 10 p.m. on Dec. 6 to noon on Dec. 10 10 p.m. on Jan. 10 to noon on Jan. 14 Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates. Contact the park for more information.
Reservations Recommended We often reach capacity and highly recommend reservations for both camping and day use. Reserve passes online or by calling the customer service center before you visit. Check back for updates.
Real dinosaur tracks preserved in the rocky bed of the Paluxy River. Hike through scenic limestone hills, swim in the river's deep pools, and camp under the shade of mature hardwood trees.
