About West Whitlock Recreation Area
Arikara and Mandan people once camped on this shore west of Gettysburg; the park honors Mrs. J.F. Whitlock, whose family held the land, and a ferry once ran from nearby Whitlock Crossing. Today 105 campsites, two cabins, a swim beach and paddle rentals draw campers and anglers.
