About Lake Herman State Park
Herman Luce, who claimed land here in 1870, built the hand-hewn oak cabin that still stands on this peninsula and is now on the National Register. Trails cross oak woodland and prairie grass, and 72 campsites and four cabins sit near the beach and disc golf course.
