About Buchanan's Birthplace State Park
A narrow, peaceful hollow in the gap of Tuscarora Mountain, marking where James Buchanan was born in a log cabin in 1791. A stone pyramid stands on the site among tall conifers, with a trout stream and picnic tables alongside.
