About Lake Welch Beach - Harriman State Park

The largest beach in Harriman State Park — half a mile of sand on a man-made lake in the wooded Ramapo Mountains, completed by a dam in 1942. Swimming, fishing, boating, hiking and camping around it.

$10 per vehicle — Vehicle Entrance Fee: $10/car vehicle use fee (cash and credit accepted) applied on following dates: 5/24/25 - 6/20/25, 7:00am-5:00pm, weekends and holidays, only 6/21/25 - 9/1/25, 8:00am-4:00pm, weekdays, 7:00am-5:00pm, weekends and holidays Bus Permits: Applied for 14 or more days in advanced: $60 On site day of outing: $150 Cash, check or credit card accepted.
