Monday through Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm, picnicking only. Entrance gates are closed at 3:30pm.
No swimming or wading allowed; sand open until 3:30pm.

About Lake Welch Beach - Harriman State Park
The largest beach in Harriman State Park — half a mile of sand on a man-made lake in the wooded Ramapo Mountains, completed by a dam in 1942. Swimming, fishing, boating, hiking and camping around it.
