The lower level of Trail 5 (Whirlpool Rapids Trail) at the Flats will be closed for trail maintenance between 8 am and 4 pm Monday -Thursdays until August 24. Whirlpool and Devil's Hole Trail 5 Closure (posted Oct 21, 2024) Due to fallen rocks and unstable conditions, Trail 5 (lower Whirlpool Rapids Trail) south of the Flats is currently closed.
About Niagara Falls State Park - Devil's Hole Area
Overlooks above the Devil's Hole Rapids, with picnic areas and some of the most popular fishing on the river. A stone staircase drops to the gorge floor and the Devil's Hole Trail below.
