Nevada State Park
315 acres of the upper Las Vegas Wash, where Pleistocene sediments hold fossils of Columbian mammoths, American lions, camels and dire wolves. The site drew the 1962-63 "Big Dig", and trails now cross the ground it uncovered.
$3 per adult — Day use entrance fee: $3.00 (children 12 and under are free)
