Posted Apr 6, 2026 - Stage II Fire Restrictions: Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal, coal, or wood stove is prohibited. The use of devices fueled solely by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off is allowed. Such devices can only be used in an area that is barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within three (3) feet of the device. Smoking is prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building.

Named for what you are allowed to take home: visitors may collect up to 15 pounds of agate, jasper, and quartz from the slopes of the Little Florida Mountains, using hand tools only. Campsites look out across the Chihuahuan Desert.

$5 per vehicle — Day use $5 NM resident (no charge Oct 1 - Apr 30), $10 non-resident; walk-in and bicycle free. Camping per night: primitive $10 resident / $15 non-resident, developed $15 resident / $20 non-resident. Hookups add $5 water, $10 electric, $5 sewer per day.
