About Rockhound State Park

Named for what you are allowed to take home: visitors may collect up to 15 pounds of agate, jasper, and quartz from the slopes of the Little Florida Mountains, using hand tools only. Campsites look out across the Chihuahuan Desert.

$5 per vehicle — Day use $5 NM resident (no charge Oct 1 - Apr 30), $10 non-resident; walk-in and bicycle free. Camping per night: primitive $10 resident / $15 non-resident, developed $15 resident / $20 non-resident. Hookups add $5 water, $10 electric, $5 sewer per day.
