About Nansen Ski Jump State Historic Site

Built between 1936 and 1938 by Berlin, the National Youth Administration and the Nansen Ski Club, this 171-foot steel tower carries a runway 310 feet long. For close to fifty years nothing larger stood in the eastern states; the first Olympic trials were held here in 1938 and the last competition in 1988.
