About Franklin Pierce Homestead Historic Site
The Hillsborough house the fourteenth president lived in from infancy until his 1834 marriage, put up by his father thirty years earlier. A ballroom stretches the full length of the upper floor; collections come on loan from the Hillsborough and New Hampshire historical societies, and it takes part in the Blue Star Museums programme.
