The site is located at the end of a narrow residential road. There is not enough room for large vehicles to turn around. The cul-de-sac on some maps is on private property behind a gate.

Alert The site is closed as we replace the trail surface. We are putting permeable pavers down, replacing the wayside panel, and trimming the overgrowth down at the overlook. Projected open is late fall of 2026. Please do not cross barriers as there are trip hazards during the construction phase of this project.

The grave of Missouri's fifth governor, perched on a bluff above the Mississippi at Herculaneum. A quiet place to reflect on the river and on the legacy of public schools Dunklin left the state.
