About Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation
South Deerfield's summit overlooks the Connecticut River Valley and can be reached on foot or by the seasonal summit road. Two named routes climb it, the View of the Valley Trail and the harder Pocumtuck Ridge Trail, and a pavilion waits for a picnic afterward.
