About Beartown State Forest

This 12,000-acre forest in Monterey centers on Benedict Pond, with a 1.5-mile loop trail, a swimming beach and fishing. Pitch a tent at the campground, then hike, ride or paddle where deer, bobcats, fishers and bears roam.
