About Wayne Fitzgerrell State Recreation Area The park overlooks Rend Lake, a 19,000-acre Corps of Engineers reservoir known for white and black crappie in early spring. Its 3,300 acres of former farmland suit boating, water skiing, birding and field trials as much as fishing.
