Eighteen canyons of moss-laden St. Peter sandstone, cut by glacial meltwater more than 14,000 years ago, and over 13 miles of trail past rain-fed waterfalls and overlooks. Illinois' second state park, established in 1911, with a visitor centre.

Starved Rock Visitor Center: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Closed on federal holidays November through March
Starved Rock Campground: Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. daily.
