Spring Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area

Spring Lake North Campground will be closed Saturday, August 8th all day for the final coat of sealant. The campgrounds will re-open Sunday morning, August 9th. Spring Lake Causeway Ramp will be closed Friday, August 7th from sunrise to Saturday, morning, August 8th for the final coat of sealant. There will be intermittent disruptions in access due to gate and sign replacement throughout the North Park following road resurfacing. South Park Road and the entire South Lake will be closed to ALL vehicles and boat access for bridge replacement, road resurfacing and repairs starting 6/1/26. Construction is expected to last through the end of summer 2026. South Spring Lake is being dewatered to allow for rehabilitation, habitat improvement and water control sturcture work at the site. Lake rehabilitation is expected to take 1.5 to 2 years.
