About Nipmuck State Forest

Connecticut's second-oldest state forest, begun with 300 acres at $3.57 an acre in 1905 and now past 9,400. Woods roads, caves, old growth and a mountain laurel sanctuary fill a remote corner of the Last Green Valley.
