Posted Jul 31, 2026 - Due to low water, boating season has ended and the boat ramp is closed for the remainder of 2026. Hand launched and human powered vessels, such as canoes, kayaks & paddleboards, are allowed to launch. Clear water fills a long, narrow 360-acre reservoir with some of Colorado's best boating, swimming, waterskiing and windsurfing. Ninety campsites, several of them waterfront, sit in the hills north of Rifle.
