The park will not be offering apple picking for the fall 2026 season. No walk-ins, drop-offs or bicycle entries permitted: admission only by vehicle via the entry station.
A 43-acre apple farm in Oak Creek Canyon, homesteaded by Frank Pendley in 1910 and still watered by the irrigation system he built. His first orchard went in in 1912, and the creek's natural chute gives the park both its name and its swimmers.
